Touring through the eyes of Frame – News!

56 Eden Street, Oamaru

It’s not every day that you see something you love through someone else’s eyes but as proud guardians of the Frame family’s former Oamaru home, today is one of those days.

Scrolling through Facebook we bumped into a post to Oamaru Today mentioning an article in the Senior Traveller, Queensland that describes Oamaru and North Otago through the eyes of Janet Frame.

Writer, Sandy Guy, begins the story at 56 Eden Street – the childhood home of Janet Frame… and weaves us through local buildings and their near history in Frame’s life before setting out to Dunedin and returning to Oamaru.

A delightful read and a wonderful inspiration for local and visiting Frame-aficionados alike. See the full article here.

Thanks to Judy Hooton for posting the article on Oamaru Today.
